FOM Club: Forest Lake Tournament Results August 15. 2009

With strong breezes, warm air temperatures and warm water (74ºF), the fishing was great and the catching was pretty good considering that all of the ten participating members caught fish. The contest was “One Largest Muskie + Two Largest Northern + Three Largest Walleye + Four Largest Bass + Five Largest Crappie or Sunnies [by length]”

The final results are as follows:

1. Gary Plipsen 108 in. 2 N, 4 B, 5 S $50

2. John Cummins 106 in. 2 N, 4 B, 3 S $30

3. Gordon Merck 83.5 in. 2 N, 1 B, 5 S $20

4. Lowell Borgen 67 in 2 N, 2 B

5. Mike Thompson 57 in. 2 N, 1 B

6. Jim Druk 54.5 in. 1 W, 1 B, 5 S

7. J.R. Anderson 46.5 in. 3 B, 1 S

8. Marsh Crippen 24 in. 3 S

9. Jeff Dadd 24 in. 3 S

10. Art Halverson 16 in. 1 B

N = northern

W = walleye

B = bass

S = crappie or sunnie

Don’t forget this Saturday is a club fishing tournament.  It will be a multi-species tournament @ Forest Lake and goes from 7AM to 1PM.
