Fishers of Men Fishing Club Spring Outing 2009
May 1 – 3, 2009 Camp Wapogasset, Lake Wapogasset, Amery, Wisconsin
The Wisconsin opener is Saturday May 2nd. In years past we have had very good fishing on Wapo on this opening weekend not only for walleyes and crappies but also northerns and bass. We will have a one-day individual multispecies tournament on Saturday that you may participate in if you wish.
The cost for the Spring outing this year is $96 which includes two nights lodging [Friday and Saturday] plus four meals [breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday]. A four-day non-resident Wisconsin fishing license costs $24 and may be obtained ahead of time online at www.dnr.wi.us or at any Gander Mountain store.
A deposit of $50 paid by check payable to Camp Wapogasset must be received by Lowell Borgen no later than April 18th. Mail checks to Lowell at 7280 Pineview Ln N, Maple Grove, MN 55369. The balance [$46] may be paid to Lowell upon arrival at camp. Please complete the Registration and Medical Form and return it with your deposit. (Registration and Medical form will be mailed in the April Newsletter and will be available at the April Meeting)
You can check in any time after 3pm on Friday. Remember to bring your own sleeping bag and towels. Supper will be provided by the Club for those guys that arrive by 7 pm. Members are encouraged to invite other men who are not currently members of FOM. If you haven’t been to Camp Wapo before, check out their website at www.campwapo.net.
